AIP offers you the possibility to enrol in a programme of internships in companies in Valencia, Spain. Our objective is that you improve certain key skills needed in working life, such as language skills, understanding of cultures or co-operation skills.

The selected companies take the participants with the profile they need during periods from two to six months through an agreement created for this purpose. The daily schedule of the internships will vary depending on the necessities of each company (from 20 to 40 hours per week) and it is not mandatory to give you any retribution, although some companies give you a small amount (from 150 € to 300 € per month) for your daily expenses.

You will not only reinforce your knowledge of Spanish, but you will also get to know the Spanish business culture and will acquire intercultural soft skills, which will be very valuable in your future personal and professional development.

-          If your are from a non-European Union country you must also send us a letter from your host institution (university, school, etc.), accrediting your student condition.

Required documents:

A.- The Enrolment form.
A minimum of 2 weeks intensive course in our language school is required for those with an high-intermediate level of Spanish (B2 level in the European Framework of reference). If you have lower skills, you must extend the intensive Spanish course at our school for the necessary period. Please consider a minimum of 8 weeks to acquire an intermediate level of Spanish if you are a complete beginner (preferably 10 weeks).

B.- Your Resume in Spanish (preferably include a passport photo). Previous studies or work experience has to be sufficiently related to the desired area of work in which the internship should take place.

C.- A Motivation or Cover Letter in Spanish describing the type and duration of the internship desired. It is important to be flexible, realistic and honest as this will facilitate us  to place you.

Attention: If you are taking 8 or more weeks of intensive course in our language school you can send us your Resume and Motivation letter in English and we will translate it for you.

D.- Complete the Spanish test. Please print it, fill it in and then scan it and send it to us.

E.- A copy of your full health insurance and liability insurance covering during your whole stay in Spain. If you don’t have one, we can provide you one.

F.- Balanced economical situation to cover all the costs of transport, food and lodging during your stay in Spain.

Finally, you should have an open and social character, and should adapt to the profile the collaborating company requires. In exchange, you will enhance your knowledge of Spanish, _ get to know Spanish business culture and _acquire necessary intercultural soft skills, which will be very valuable in your personal and professional development.

Are you ready to join us?

A. Starting point: Required documents. An early registration is highly recommended!

Once you decide to participate, you may submit the required documents (please check Participant requisites paragraph).

B. Analyzing your documents.
Once we have received these by email, we will analyze your documents very carefully to evaluate them before accepting your participation in the internship program. AIP will analyze and take into account your expectations and our possibilities in order to find an internship that suits your needs and interests. We will also correct your Spanish test in order to certify if the selected duration of Spanish lessons in our school corresponds with the level you must reach previously to start your internship. Finally we will contact you to inform you about your definitive acceptance in the program. This process will take no more than 48h­ after  AIP has  received all the necessary documents.

C. The confirmation.
It takes aprox. 2-5 weeks for AIP to confirm your definitive acceptance in the program. AIP will provide you with a short description of your internship in the specified host company. In the event that our internship coordinators cannot find a position for your requirements, AIP will offer you an alternative.

Once you accept the company and position offered, you must pay a deposit of 150 €. This fee is required in order to confirm your interest on the internship offered. The final payment will be made the first day of lessons at our school once you have arrived in Valencia.

This is something very valuable, as we understand it is a very serious decision to participate _ in our program. That is the reason why YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING until you know the company where you will be doing your internship.

Internship program fee: 395 € *
* Applications to start the program in May, June and July have a 50 € supplement.

And remember, we understand it is a difficult decision whether or not to participate in our program. That is the reason why YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING until you know the company where you will be doing your internship in Valencia.

This price includes:

.- Enrolment fee and pre-departure assistance in arranging your application and assistance including any necessary visa procedure or LEONARDO/ERASMUS application.
.- Selection of the collaborating company according to your needs.
.- Processing of the necessary agreements of the internships with the collaborating companies inside the legal framework in Spain.
.- Assistance and support throughout your placement. We will be the link between you and the company in order to solve doubts and problems as quickly as possible. 
.- Your right preparation for the internship and monitoring of your evolution.
.- Orientation packets once you are here. Including tourist and city information, transportation and communications details, etc.

Extras:
- A minimum of 2 weeks Spanish Intensive course in Valencia is required, 20 lessons per week. The cost of one-week course is 141 €. You should have obtained a high intermediate level of Spanish (B2 level, fluent in a normal conversation) at the end of your academic period.
- Accommodation (optional) in host families with half board is 170 € / week. We offer apartments also (100 €/week). 
- It is necessary for you to have a Full Health and liability insurance. We can provide one if necessary: 25 €/month.
