1. Most of the middle east countries are conservative. So please consider packing conservative clothes. Tight, short or revealing clothes are not appreciated when being in public places in the middle east. 2. Cotton clothing would be suitable for most of the year (summer, spring and autumn). But, also do not forget to get a light jacket or cardigan, as almost all places indoors are air-conditioned. 3. Do not forget to take your sunglasses and your sun block. 4. Mastercards and Amex Cards are widely accepted in many places in most of the Middle East countries (e.g.: UAE, Egypt), but never in the pulic transportation. So have some money in your pocket, to use when cards are not accepted. 5- The voltage in all Middle East countries is 220v (Kuwait: 220v-240v). Do not forget to check the plug specifications of the country you will be having your internship at. 6- Though pharmacies are on hand in almost all Middle East countries, it is still recommended not to forget your medical supplies; e.g.: these treating diaherra; sun burns, flu & mosquito bites. Also, it is highly recommended to be vaccinated against hepatitis A before your travel. |
